Small Spaces Series: Harvesting and Preserving

Join Maria Pippidis, County Director and Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Sciences, University of Delaware Cooperative Extension, to learn when to pick, what to refrigerate, and how to safely preserve your produce. She will have tools available to show and tell us her preservation techniques. Bring surplus produce to share with one another! These classes are designed for the beginner gardener, but seasoned gardeners will learn something, too. Families are welcome and a separate area for children’s activities will be provided. Community gardeners can register for a discounted rate. Contact Ruth Arias, Youth and Community Gardens Coordinator, for details.
