Learning from Great Gardens: Burrows Run Farm (Mendenhall, PA)

This long-standing garden, part of an original 100-acre farm, has been carefully stewarded by the same family since the 1960s and is protected by several conservation easements. Like her aunt, the current owner studied under Laura Barnes at the Barnes Foundation and enhanced the garden with many plants acquired from the Rare Plant Auction®. Mature and sturdy specimen trees, including a Blue Atlas cedar, anchor the landscape and provide a marvelous counterpoint to the gardeners’ naturalistic approach over the years. Light refreshments provided. This is a rain or shine event; directions provided upon registration.
