2020 Winter Lecture Series - Rick Darke

Join us for our 2020 Winter Lecture Series featuring four of our accomplished and nationally renowned Rare Plant Auction® (RPA) plant experts. As we gear up to celebrate the 40th and Final RPA® at Longwood Gardens on April 25, guests will be treated to an in-depth exploration of the knowledge, expertise, and philosophy of these brilliant minds that have helped craft this year’s grand finale event. Refreshments will be served at all lectures; wine and beer available for purchase. Members: $30, Non-members: $35 for each lecture.

Using diverse examples of spontaneous and scripted urban landscapes, Rick Darke will present “Design for Resilience in Dynamic Urban Landscapes” to show us how observing living communities can inspire and support creative design and stewardship. The focus will be on the regenerative qualities of dynamic relationships and the resiliency that results from celebrating the inevitability of change.
