Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition
The mission of the Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition is to support community-oriented urban agricultural projects that expand healthy food access in northern Delaware and bring together resources and technical assistance through a collaborative approach to urban farming. In short, the Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition makes healthy eating happen! As a founding member of the Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition, TheDCH saw the need to bring together communities and organizations focused on environmental stewardship and food justice to ensure every Delaware resident had access to fresh, healthy food regardless of where they lived. The Coalition, facilitated and hosted by TheDCH, believes in the power of partnerships, and that’s why more than 60 individuals and organizations are currently members.

It was great to see TheDCH honor the sacrifice of WWI vets by planting cherry trees. It’s beautiful when they are all blooming.
