Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition

Born out of the efforts of passionate community members, local farmers, non-profit leaders, and government officials, the 12th and Brandywine Urban Farm is the culmination the Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition's early work. The Coalition, facilitated and hosted by TheDCH, believes in the power of partnerships and that’s why more than 60 individuals and organizations are currently members.

The mission of the Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition is to support community-oriented urban agricultural project that expand healthy food access in northern Delaware and brings together resources and technical assistance through a collaborative approach to urban farming. In short, the Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition makes healthy eating happen!

On a recent fine September morning, the Delaware Urban Farm and Food Coalition hosted a community garden tour for its members.

I have a profound respect for those who care for trees, one of Delaware's often forgotten treasures. Keep up the great work!
