Winterthur March Bank & Museum Exhibit: Costumes of Downton Abbey

TheDCH trip to Winterthur Museum and Gardens on March 13 has been postponed to Thursday, March 27, due to inclement weather. Space is still available for this trip.

Get a double dose of beauty with this two- part tour of Winterthur Museum and Gardens. We’ll begin with a walking tour of the March Bank – Winterthur’s oldest surviving garden built in 1902 – as well as other early – blooming parts of the Garden, featuring Galanthus (giant and common), winter aconite, Amur adonis, spring snowflake, spring beauty, Italian windflowers, and crocus.  Assistant Director & Curator of Plants Linda Eirhart, and Associate Garden Curator Carol Long will accompany and share background on the history, growth, and care of the Garden.

After a lunch break (on your own at the Winterthur Café), we will go back to the Museum for a self – guided tour of the Costumes of Downton Abbey exhibit.  The ticket includes a tour of the main area of the house, which is good for two days.  Lunch on your own. Space is limited. Register early.
